Tea Parties often say that they have decided to rise up against modern political parties as spending in the federal government has run amuck and because they are tired of holding meetings in abandoned factory buildings.

6. Many Tea Partiers who attended Glenn Beck's rally at the Lincoln Memorial refused to look into the eyes of the Abraham Lincoln statue, as they believe that doing so would supposedly turn them into stone.
