Top Ten Trigger Happy Clips on You Tube

Anne Lee
For those of you who have never seen it, Trigger Happy TV is a comedy show that is somewhere in the middle of Jackass and Punk'd. Unlike the former, the comedy in Trigger is more playful and silly (you won't find anyone waxing all the hair off their body here). They approach people in the streets, they dress in animal costumes (the animal costumes are my favorite), and they have a running gag with a gigantic cell phone. So, without any further ado, here are my top ten You Tube clips of Trigger Happy TV.

10. No tables: Ever been to a restaurant where there is a wait, but not all their tables are filled? Well, I have. Maybe that's why I love this clip so much. It's almost a gross exaggeration of that concept. After being walked around several empty tables, the waiter tells the couple that there are no more tables.

9. Gorillas v. Car: I've heard stories of animals attacking a car in a drive through safari. In fact, I once heard a story of a man who got out of his car on Safari (a real one) and was eaten alive by a lion in front of his wife and kids, who were still in the car. Thankfully, this is not anywhere near as grotesque and I promise you will love it. Oh, and some food for thought: where did those gorillas get baseball bats?

8. 1,000,000th Sex Shop Customer: Ever heard of those prizes the millionth customer gets just for walking in at the right time? Ever heard of that in a sex shop? Well I haven't and I don't know anyone who has. Still, this guy gets a hell of a celebration. Somehow, I think he would've settled for a free toy.

7. Car Park: This offers some wonderful wisdom about valets: don't trust the ones with British accents. I'm just kidding, but this clip will make you hesitant to leave your car with a valet if you're easily shaken. If you're not, you'll get some great chuckles from this clip.

6. Trapped in Maze: Now this lady knows how Harry Potter felt when he was running through his maze. While it lacks the magic and special effects of the Harry Potter movie, it is just as worthwhile to watch. Like most of these clips, I just love the reactions they get.

5.Trigger Happy TV: Okay, so the name is not so telling this time. Perhaps that is because this clip is a montage. It begins with a bit between an intelligent punk man and an old man in a park. It then moves on to a lost southerner in a park asking for help. It ends with a cheese booth that is not what it seems. I really enjoy the first bit the best, with the last coming in at a close second. Please note: there is the use of the F word in this bit, so if you are young and impressionable, you may want to skip this one.

4. Squirrel Mob: This is just funny. I don't know what else to say. Where else will you ever see a man get chased by a mob of people in animal suits.

3. Cell Phone Montage: This is a classic gag for the Trigger Happy bunch. See if you remember when cell phones were almost that big. I don't, but I can appreciate the humor nonetheless.

2. Animal Job Interview: Job interviews are unnerving. We all know that. Now imagine your waiting to go in, and people in animal costumes start passing you by. Then imagine you get called into a room of these people. I don't know what kind of company he's interviewing for, but I bet they have a blast!

And Finally...

1. Squirrel Picnic: Can you imagine watching the news and hearing about a man being kidnapped by a group of squirrels? What would the sketches look like? Well, you get to see the kidnapping in this clip, along with a table full of people. Beware of squirrels and enjoy!

You'll notice that this is a British show. It figures. After all, the Brits are so classy and smart...or at least their accents make them sound that way. Maybe Ashton Kutcher and the boys on Jackass could take a tip from these guys, anything is funnier in a British accent.
