Top Ten Videos:Physics, Nature & the Incredible Human Mind

Shan-Lyn Forsythe
In my galavanting through the Google and YouTube Video sites I came upon 10 videos which I found intriguing. I'd like to share them with you now and give my impressions of what I viewed.

I must admit - in advance - that certain videos were specifically sought with a purpose in mind.

I have always been fascinated with timing, rhythm, equilibrium and how people's minds tend to use these natural elements in order to showcase creative feats which never fail or cease to amaze me.

What I'm trying to primarily illustrate from these videos, are the unseen technical physics of nature at work with the person's ingenuity in knowing how to manipulate these forces or energies. Or as well, when certain stimuli can reveal the resilient potentiality of the human brain.

As people test the forces seeking to produce an entertaining outcome of their creative achievements, it's also interesting to witness and view the testings of nature upon people and how they respond reflexively.

1. Technical Gizmos (12 min. 54 sec.)
Ok. Never mind that the sub-captions are Japanese. This is almost 13 minutes of watching incredible technical gizmos contrived to illustrate the timing by physics of nature. Each innovative creation amuses the spectator, where obviously the scientific mind of the creator needed an imagination to derive all these innovative gadgets that keep one in a state of awe. You'll enjoy this video. It takes a lot of ingenuity to create these contraptions. I wonder if they'd have a way for me to cook my toast in the morning. It amuses the observer's mind.

2. The Amazing Juggling Finale (4 min. 27 sec.)
Within this video, Chris Bliss performs an amazing juggling routine. Here's another example of "balance" being put into motion and gracefully executed, but by a literal human. Timing is the key word here. Using objects as the above example, is one way to demonstrate "timing in motion", but this juggling is an incredible example on how versatile the human reflex factor can be. Rhythm is an art form, and this juggler proves it while keeping pace with the music playing in the background. If you think it's easy, then I invite you to try these moves. In the meantime, enjoy.

3. Only In India (1 min. 06 sec.)
Here's another example of "timing". This is an amazing piece of footage demonstrating the ability of man's brain to keep perfect timing in his thinking. Notice how much traffic there is, and no accidents ever occur? I thought I had seen it all when I went to Paris, France and observed traffic hour in the heart of the city near the Eiffel tower, but this video footage clearly demonstrates that India far surpasses what I experienced in France. Amazing!

4. Awesome Bike Tricks (1 min. 25 sec.)
I chose this video to compliment the previous video because it's another example as to how the physics of the human brain relies on timing and balance and can be resiliently defiant to the physics of Nature.

5. Incredible "Music" Machine (2 min.)
Incredible "Music" Machine. Now I want to include a video where timing, rhythm, ingenuity and equilibrium all play significant key roles - which when all combined - illustrate a technical blueprint of a "musical masterpiece", for lack of better words. Try making a "studio band" out of old pipes and metal hardware. The realization obviously indicating that "music is universal", no matter how it is derived.

Switching concepts - The power of the mind in other ways

6. Derren Brown Kung Fu Punch (3 min. 30 sec.)
One Kung Fu master shows what he can do with one blow, and then Derren Brown shows what he can do without touching someone. Though the Kung Fu martial art form expression requires a lot of timing, balance and especially focus, there's a bit of a mysterious twist in how Derren Brown shows what he knows.

7. Derren Brown - Subliminal Advertising (6 min. 39 min.)
I especially chose this video to illustrate how subliminally susceptible the human mind can be.
The next time you would like to go visit your local psychic, take into consideration that many people are "trained observers", and if you allow such individuals to get to your mind, they know precisely what to insert in order to answer your questions with accuracy. Something definitely to think about. Pun intended.

8. PS3 vs. Wii (1 min. 25 sec.)
And I thought that PC vs. Mac commercials were funny. I stumbled upon this one and it gave me a good chuckle. However, this is another type of subliminal suggestion. Notice how companies are able to suggest an idea into a watcher's mind simply on how they introduce the way the people look and the body language they use.

9. Martial Arts Death Touch (4 min. 24 min.)
Here is virtual evidence of another type of power of the mind. Unlike Derren Brown's Kung Fu Punch, this has nothing to do with subliminal suggestion.

10. REAL Matrix Spoon Bending - Telekinesis!! (6 min.28 sec.)
(Translation Version)
Whether you be a true skeptic or not, this video provides - nonetheless - entertainment delving into the world of telekinesis/psychokinesis. Powers of the human mind are quickly becoming an unfolding trend in today's societies.

Conclusion

Our world is a very unique place to live in. Many thanks to YouTube and Google Videos for providing the evidence.
