Top Ten Ways to Impress Customers

Todd Hicks
It is vital to make it a pleasure for people to do business with you. You will learn the top ten ways to create a good customer service experience.

The first is to provide top of the line goods and services. They must be the best on the market or at least one of the best. It is not smart to provide goods and services that are mediocre.

The second is to offer a variety of prices for each item you sell. By offering your items at a low price, you will enable lower-income customers to buy your product. By offering your items at a high price, you will encourage some people to spend more in order to get items that last longer than those that are cheap.

The third is to not be pushy. One thing you should not do is follow shoppers around after they say they do not need help. Another thing you should not do is be too aggressive in trying to persuade them to make a purchase.

The fourth is to stock up on merchandise. In addition to having some units of an item on the shelves, you must have extra units in the stock room. Customers are likely to be disappointed if they come in but find out you do not have what they want.

The fifth is to have a good attitude. One way to do it is to smile all day. Another is to willingly handle the shoppers' complaints and returns.

The sixth is to have a good shipping process. One thing you must do is quickly deliver purchased goods. Another is to offer shipping that is free or nearly free.

The seventh is to be knowledgeable. It is essential to know how your items work and where they are located. Consumers do not like it when the store personnel are ignorant.

The eighth is to do all you can for the shoppers. One thing you should do is make sure that they have found everything they are looking for. Another is to fully answer all of their questions and make sure that they know everything they need to know. You will make a good impression by bending over backwards for them.

The ninth is to make the checkout process smooth. One way you can do it is to have plenty of checkout lanes open. Another is to provide one or two express lanes to serve those who have ten or fewer items in their shopping carts.

The tenth is to be on the ball when it comes to helping your customers. One thing you should do is immediately stop what you are doing to help them. Another is to quickly respond to their inquiries.

Follow these steps to make a good impression on your customers!
