Top Ten Ways for a Pre-teen to Make Money

Today our children want to have cash in the pocket at all times.Why is this? Schools now have extra treats that our children can buy.There is this toy that they want from walmart.Oh and there is that video game that cost $25.00 and mom and dad say no it cost to much.The latest craze a cell phone.We all would love to be able to give our child what they ask for.Truth behind it is that we can't afford too.

Here is some ideas you can use to teach your children on how to raise money.Not free money.Ideas that will teach our children that everything in life is not free.We as parents need to teach them how to set a goal and achieve it.Show them that hard work pays off.To show them that just because we want something doesn't mean we will get it right away.That money has to be there in order to purchase.You can start this at a young age to pre-teens.The sooner you start the better the understanding the child will have.

Soda pop cans.this is not only a great way for a child to make money.It also teaches them to recycle.Your child can ask friends,family,neighbors,co-workers to save them.Teach them to pick them up as they are walking down the street.Not only are they recycling,making money,they are helping keep the streets clean.

See a penny pick it up than all day you will have good luck.Do you know that a child can make a dollar just walking through a parking lot.Every day us adults drop our change and we are to tired to pick it up.Well this gives our children a chance to keep an eye out and make a little spare change.They will learn that it takes saving it to reach a goal.Hint,hint,saving it.

We all need a little help now and then.Not only can your child do chores for you.Have them ask friends,family, and neighbors.There is seniors out there that need help.A pre-teen is a great start.Most seniors are on a tight budget.They still need help.Maybe its just dishes or do laundry they are helping out a senior and making a little cash too.

Car washes.Everyone needs that done.Most of us hate doing it.We all know it cost a fortune to take it to the car wash.That is where the Pre-teen says ' I can do that".Not only can they wash the car they can clean it out.Vacuum it,Dust it.Wipe down the windows.Maybe even put the rain x on it for you.All they have to do is ask around.If they get a few people in the neighborhood they can walk to that house and use the car owners water.

Dog walking.Almost everyone today has a dog.Most of us don't have time to take them for a walk.Simple and easy and will only take them about 15 minutes.
Dog wash.We all know that dogs never stay clean.Even are dogs want to be clean.Maybe even throw in a bow and a little nail polish too.
Dog sitters.Boarding a dog can cost you a arm and a leg.Why not offer to do it for half the price at your house.

Babysitting.Old fashion but still very much needed.All us mommy's and daddy's still need our alone time.Dinner ,movies doesn't really matter as long as it is alone.Great Friday and Saturday jobs.Most pay well.Not only that they usually order pizza for the kids before they leave.Yummy !

Tutoring.For the older ones.There is alot of parents out there that need someone to help a child catch up.Maybe even study for a test.Post it at the school or around local business.You can even post it on the Internet.Some people pay 5 to 10 an hour just for you to help the little ones do homework..

Yard sale.Everyone has junk laying around and you don't want to sit outside and do the sale.Let the kids take over.This will also teach them how to count change.Make deals.Even help with social skills.You can give them all profit or tell them you will split it.Sometimes I think kids get paid better than we do.Two days of work can be $50.00 in the pocket to a kid and thats like gold to them.

Bake sale.Let them have a goodies sale.Everyone has a sweet tooth.It might be a little work for you parents but remember when you are helping them make it your bonding and teaching them to strive for a goal.Remember to let them know material cost comes right off the top.This is important so that they know everything in life is not free.

Last but not least craft sale.We all have tons of crafts that we have been storing for years.Let the kids get in there and make stuff.They have great imagination.You will be surprised how many people we stop and buy it..Everyone is a kid at heart.All of us want to see children work and achieve there goals and we are willing to help.
