Top Ten New Years Resolutions for Book Club Members

Rachel Heller
Everybody should make resolutions for 2010. I am sure every group has a few resolutions, if they think hard about it. Painters might make the 2010 resolution to paint a home a bright blue or bright green. In addition, a chef might make the 2010 resolution to make Vegemite ice cream. Moreover, writers might resolve to try their hand at playeriting for 2010. I have been in a book club for three years; therefore, I will compose a list of the top ten New Year's resolutions for book club members for 2010.

1. Read More Books: Reading is a great activity anytime of day. In addition, reading is relaxing. I love reading about far away places such as Australia and Greece.

2. Write Reading Questions: Writing reading questions will help clarify parts of the books that you read.

3. Go to the Library: Libraries offer a treasure of books for readers. Checking out books costs nothing.

4. Visit Barnes and Noble Often: I love visiting Barnes and Noble, even if I don't buy a boook.

5. Talk About Books with Others: Don't be shy about speaking up about the book read at your book club. I am certain that you will be taken seriously.

6. Bring Up Book Suggustions: Even if they aren't acepted, book suggestions are always welcome.

7. Read All Types of Books: Reading books that you wouldn't normally read on your own will open up your reading experience. In addition, it will open up your knowledge base.

8. Write About Books: Write thoughts down about the books you read. It might inspire you to write a book someday.

9. Think about Books: Thinking about books is very calming.

10. Read Daily: I read before I go to bed. Choose an hour that is good for reading.
