LG Infinia 47 LX9500: LG is known for making aesthetically beautiful sets, and the Infinia is no exception. This 1.3 inch, 47-inch set has clean lines and as sleek a look as you will find on any HDTV. It is not just another pretty container, however, as its specs are as impressive as its looks.
The Infinia runs at an impressive 480 Hz(1), utterly obliterating any blur, and has excellent side viewing angles, which is important if you have more than one person playing a game. The colors are outstanding, both in uniformity and vividness, and the 3D effects are mindblowing.
Sharp Aquos LC52LE925UN 240 Hz 1080p 3D LED LCD HDTV: Utilizing Quattron 4-color technology, this 52-inch set provides stunning colors never before seen on standard sets. Just watching this set for a few minutes produces a hypnotic effect. With 3D glasses on, it feels like the characters on the screen are actually in the room with you.
The Aquos has reduced crosstalk (a term meaning the tendency of 3D images to kind of blur into one another), allowing for a vastly improved 3D gaming experience. It also has a Vyper drive game mode that reduces blurring in high speed games, ensuring even the fastest action looks perfect(2).
Samsung PN58C8000: With incredible, best-you've-ever-seen-outside-a-movie-theater blacks and as realistic 3D images on the market, this 58-inch set is a winner for gamers in every way. Shadow detail, lighting, and side viewing angles are as perfect as you will find, with even extreme side angles producing an excellent picture (3).
This is a plasma set, so blur is not an issue, as plasma sets run at consistently higher speeds than LCD sets, and the range of color on it is stunning. While there is a nearly imperceptible amount of crosstalk, the 3D images on this TV are by far the most eye-popping I have ever seen and make for a top gaming picture.
If you're ready to make the jump to a 3D HDTV to enjoy all the wonders that 3D gaming has to offer, check out one of these three models. They offer the best visuals and gaming prowess out there. Just remember that you will have to wear those somewhat annoying glasses to view the 3D content.
