Top Three Bars in Clifton Heights, PA

Clifton Heights, PA Nightlife

The good thing about Clifton Heights being a small area is that if you decide to go out for a few drinks, chances are you'll find a bar within walking distance. No worries about having to get a reliable ride home. If you opt for a cab, the fare is low because of the short distance.

Top Three Bars in Clifton Heights-The Bungalow Inn

The Bungalow Inn is a great place to go since there is a spot for everyone. A local bar, most people know each other there which is always nice. There are three different bars and a banquet hall at The Bungalow Inn. One side where the take out is located is a fairly large bar which is sometimes lovingly referred to as the "old people side". It's not all ninety year olds though so don't let the nickname fool you. The general age range is mid thirties on up. The younger people do come to this side also, but it does tend to stay a bit more mellow than the "young side". The bartender and the kitchen people know who you are over here, and most of the people hanging out are regulars. The food served is the typical bar fare. Hamburgers, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers and some specialty sandwiches. The pricing for the food is very reasonable.

The bar in the next room tends to attract the twenty one to early thirties crowd. This side is where the big screen TV is. It also has the pool tables, juke box, occasional DJ, dance area, and shuffle ball. During the summer they have a series of contests like hoola hoop and the limbo. There are cash prizes, T-shirts and a free party at the upstairs bar for the winner. A few years ago the man I was seeing at the time won the limbo contest, he had a blast.

Then there's the bar on the third floor. To get to this section of The Bungalow Inn, you have to go outside and enter from the stairs located in the parking lot. This is because it used to be an exclusive after hours bar. It is no longer a member's only section. This section is extremely quiet most times. It has an amazing view as the entire room is encased in windows. You can see all surrounding towns and a beautiful sight of the Phila skyline. It is an awesome place to be for Fourth of July as you can just stand there and see the fireworks from about twenty surrounding towns. It has a regular bar, but then it also has a raised level with comfy couches and chairs.

Top Three Bars in Clifton Heights-Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grille

Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grille is definitely a lot of fun. It is not really split up like The Bungalow Inn, but the age range is great. People hanging out there seem to be from every age group which is very nice, no reason to feel out of place here for any reason as there's all ages over twenty one. There is also a wide range of types of people. Its not a large group of men, or a large group of anything, just all different people from all walks of life.

Friday night there is usually a DJ there for your musical entertainment. There is usually only a cover on Saturday nights because Saturday night is band night. The cover is small, only $5.00. Every band I've seen there so far has been very good. On Sunday night Tailgators has open mike night. This is a lot of fun both for the local talent and the bar patrons.

The bar room is fairly large and usually plenty of room. Although the weekends are pretty busy, the bartenders are on top of their game and you'll not be waiting long for your next round of drinks. There is a separate room where the pool tables are located. These are there for your playing pleasure, but they do also hold pool tournaments. The food is again the typical bar fare, but always tasty and inexpensive. The drinks are also quite reasonable.

Top Three Bars in Clifton Heights-Clifton Inn

Clifton Inn is a place that is very spacious and relaxing. There isn't a whole lot to say about this bar because it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles. It is a very, very nice place to go hang out and have a couple beers with a date or a couple friends if you don't like the rowdy scene. The bartender is extremely friendly and genuinely likable. The people there don't have that fake charm you run into in so many bars or clubs. A nicely kept place with friendly faces, you really can't beat that.

Address and phone are as follows:
524 East Baltimore Avenue
Clifton Heights, PA 19018-2401

Clifton Heights odes have it's fair share of bars where if you're not a regular, don't bother walking in, you'll get that whole place goes quiet and all heads turn scene like in the movies or something. No worries though, whether you're a local or not, there are more friendly places than not. The three listed are probably the most friendly ones in Clifton Heights, PA.

Actually, ANY bar in Clifton Heights sucks, but this was a really good article. I wish I could buy the bar on the corner just so I could shut it down.
