Friday Night Knitting Club, The Family Man and Cooked

Rachel Heller
Books and movies are a part of our culture. I love going to the movies and reading books. In fact, going to the movies and reading books are great leisure activities. Moreover, today there are many great books that have been made into movies. I love going to movies that are based on books. In fact, I like to invite my book club buddies to movies based on books. I often think about which of my favorite books should be made into cinematic masterpieces. Therefore, I have picked three books that I belive should make their way to the silver screen. I think that Friday Night Knitting Club, The Family Man, and Cooked should be coming to a theatre near you soon.

Friday Night Knitting Club

This fiction book involves a group of ladies who become unexpected friends at a knitting shop. The shop is run by Georgia and her daughter Dakota. This book teaches book lovers about the power of love and forgiveness. I think that both men and women will enjoy Friday Night Club. In fact, the book deserves to be put on screen. Therefore, here is a list of the actors who should play the main characters in the book.

Georgia Walker: Julia Roberts
Dakota Walker: Keke Palmer
Anita: Meryl Streep
Perri: Reese Withspoon
Kat: Jodie Foster
Darwin: Julia Styles
Lucie: Lucy Lu
James: Will Smith

Julia Roberts would be perfect as Georgia because she also knows how to knit. Meryl Streep would Anita because both Meryl and Anita are wise. Gary Marshall should direct Friday Night Knitting club because he directed Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride.

The Family Man

The Family Man is a story about Henry Archer. He is a gay lawyer who reunites with his step daughter Thalia. He also has to deal with his ex-wife Denise. This fictional book is funny, touching, and teaches readers about the importance of family. If The Family Man were made into a movie then, here are the casting choices for the main characters in the book.

Henry: Tom Hanks
Denise: Helen Hunt
Thalia: Amanda Seifers
Leif: Rob Pattinson
Todd: Peter Scalari

Tom Hanks should play Henry Archer because Tom Hanks is a good actor who hasn't been in a movie for awhile. in addition, he would play a good lawyer. Peter Scalari should play Todd, Henry's boyfriend because Tom Hanks and Peter Scalari starred together Bossom Buddies. The Family Man should be directed by Ron Howard because has directed Tom Hanks before in Splash and The Da Vinci Code.

Cooked

Cooked is the true life story of Jeff Henderson. He was arrested for selling cocaine. Then, after his arrest, he became a chef. this book teaches us that people can learn from their mistakes and become productive members of society. Cooked is a story that needs to become a major motion picture. The casting list is as follows:

Jeff: Will Smith
T-Row: Dave Chapelle
Mom: Queen Latifa
Staci: Jada-Pinkett-Smith

Will Smith should play Jeff Henderson because he has played real people well. In fact, Will Smith has been nominated for Oscars for playing Muhammed Ali and Christopher Gardener. Cooked should be directed by Spike Lee because this movie needs a edgy director to direct it.

Books and movies are a part of our culture. In fact, many books have been made into major motion pictures. I like to see how my favorite books will translate on the silver screen. Therefore, I have picked three books that I would like to see made into a movie. I can't wqit to see these books at a theatre near me soon. source: Friday Night Knitting Club, The Family Man, and Cooked.
