Top Three Books I Would Love to See Turned into a Movie

Candus
There are many great books on the shelves now and some have been turned into a movie. I selected three of my top books that I would love to see made into a movie. Check out the books below and the actresses and actors I would select to play the main characters in these books on the big screen.

The first book I would like to see turned into a movie would be A Deeper Sleep by Author Dana Stabenow. This book has all the ingredients to make a great screenplay. The setting takes place in Anchorage, Alaska where it snows continuously and the only main means to get around is by snow plows.

Hunting, fishing and trapping are the main ways of life for most. In this backward, yet close community named Niniltna, lives our heroine, Private investigator Kate Shuck. Kate is single yet raising a fourteen year old boy named Johnny Morgan. Johnny's father died two years ago in the line of duty. He was a state trooper for the state of Alaska. He left behind a brokenhearted Kate and a son for Kate to love. She assumed this responsibility unquestioningly.

Among all the unorthodox characters that make up the community, there is Mutt, Kate's mongrel dog that protects Kate from anyone who speaks above a whisper. Kate is in her early thirties, has raven black hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion. She is quick to anger, eager to throw the first punch and quite lacking in patience .She is also a leader of her tribe, loved and respected by all.

Kate's character should be played by Mariska Hargitay. Kate joins forces with the local state trooper, Jim Chopin. Together they go on a hunting trip to track down a serial killer from the area. Quiet, unassuming Jim should be depicted by David Caruso. This film should be orchestrated by non other than Andrew Davis.

Davis's work on The Fugitive proves he can guide his audience through many emotions throughout the story line.
A Deeper Sleep has it all. Fear, suspense and murder team up with loyalty and family values to keep you on the edge of your seat. Place this story in the primitive yet beautiful Alaskan countryside and you never know what you'll find around the next corner.

The second book I would love to see made into a movie is Bubbles Unbound by: Sarah Strohmeyer. This book to me would make an amazing on screen movie. A little about this book is the star Bubbles Yablonsky she is not your typical dumb blond. After working two jobs to put her philandering husband through law school, he leaves her for greener pastures.

Finding herself with a small child to raise, she enrolls in a community college in hopes of broadening her skills. The only problem was, she quickly discovered she had no skills. The only career she ever mastered was hair dressing and she took a lot of pride in it. Unfortunately she never seemed to get ahead.

After flunking several courses, which the court ordered her ex husband to pay for, she discovered she had a natural talent for journalism. After all those years of listening to gossip at the shop, she had developed a natural curiosity for getting at the facts.

While freelancing for a local small time news paper, sexy Bubbles was sent out to an area in town to cover a possible suicide. She is met by a photographer, also sent by the editor to take photos.Drop dead gorgeous himself, Steve Stiletto is no match for Bubbles.

Yablonsky finds herself in quite a dilemma. Her body wants to yield to Steve's animal magnetism but she has sworn off intimacy without commitment. Together they find themselves in the middle of murder and mayhem. They race against the clock to uncover an old murder and prove it's connection with a present day killing spree.

Julia Roberts, playing the part of Bubbles Yablonsky would show the characters credibility. As a serious reporter as well as an unsophisticated working single mom. Steve Stiletto would come alive played by Kevin Costner. Together these two would compliment each other by adding just the right amount of humor to spice up their relationship.

Directing these two explosive personalities would be Donald Petrie who did a great job in Miss Congeniality. Bubbles may look like a centerfold with big hair and three inch heels but don't be fooled. She hides her light under a bushel. And when the situation calls for it, Bubbles springs into action. She solves her case AND
gets her man.

This book in my opinion would be a box office hit with both these amazing actors in the movie. The final book I read that I feel would make a great on screen movie is Good Morning, Killer By: April Smith. The story starts to unfold like this.

It's the dead of Winter in Los Angeles. Most residents find solace indoors and only venture out when absolutely necessary. Frequent rain storms magnify the wretched weather. Ana Grey loves to do laps in the rain. She believes this activity sharpens her senses for her job. Ana is an FBI agent stationed in California.

Agent Grey is given an assignment to investigate the disappearance of a fifteen-year-old, Juliana. To complicate matters, Ana is partnered with a local city detective that she is currently involved with romantically. Detective Andrew Berriger resents any interaction with a fed, even one he happens to be sleeping with. Ana is unaware of these feelings until things begin to escalate.

Andrew starts avoiding Ana until one night she verbally assaults him at a bar and in front of his co-workers. Things escalate until Ana shoots Andrew in her home during a domestic argument. She now faces charges of attempted murder.

This made for movie novel is perfect for director Clint Eastwood. After winning two Oscars he has more than proved himself to mold characters into believable friend or foe. Sandra Bullock would do a splendid performance of our love rejected yet proud and prevailing Ana Grey.

Co-starring with Ms. Bullock would be Richard Gere. Mr.Gere could tap into Andrew's character without much effort. Arrogant, sexy egomaniacs are the types you want to seduce and kill at the same time. Only our director can decide if our stars can pull it off.
