Most everyone loves a great burger from time to time. I have found in my town The Dalles, that they have some of the greatest burger joints that I have ever visited! I have composed three of my favorite places where you can get a quality burger that taste home made.

The first choice I would like to recommend is a restaurant called Big Jim's. This place has been in business for many years and offers you a choice of a drive through window or sitting indoors or outside on the patio. The restaurant is very clean and has a great courteous staff.

My favorite burger to order is the Jim Dandy. This burger is topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon and special sauce. I love the onion rings at Big Jim's and they have some of the best home made milk shakes you'll ever taste.

Big Jim's burgers has many choices for you to choose from. And the prices are based on whether you get a drink or onion rings or fries. You can always pay an extra dollar to add things or 2.50 to add a shake instead of a coke product.

If your in the area and looking for a quality burger made with real meat and vegetables and fresh never frozen then stop by. My second recommendation for the best burger in the Dalles, Oregon area is Burgerville. We do not have Burgerville's where I use to live and when I moved to Oregon last year and ate at my first Burgerville I could not get over how good their burgers are.

The Burgerville in The Dalles, Oregon area has some of the best tasting burgers you'll sink your teeth into. I always order the double cheeseburger and onion rings and even though they are maybe a tad bit more expensive than other burger places, you will get your monies worth.

When in season Burgerville makes their onion rings fresh with Walla Walla onions. And according to what berry is in season, their shakes are homemade from these berries as well. You will pay around 3.50 to 4.00 dollars for a burger here but well worth it.

My third recommendation for a great burger joint in The Dalles is Jack In The Box. Even though this has a drive through as well as a sit down area inside we love grabbing our burgers when we are on the go using the drive through.

They have some pretty good tasting burgers here. They also offer other food as well such as breakfast 24 hours a day and cold sandwiches as well as fries, tater tots, onion rings and egg rolls. I suggest you have their hamburger that's fully loaded on the sour dough bread.

This cheeseburger is so good and the sour dough is buttered and toasted and gives this burger an extra great taste. I prefer to have their fries than the onion rings, because they give you a choice of straight or curly.

This place is cheaper than the other two choices and has pretty good food. The atmosphere is good and it's family oriented as well. My husband and I can eat here for under 15.00 dollars and that's two large drinks, two burgers as well as two fries.
