Here are the top three ways to promote your small business in a creative way:
Vehicle Wrap
For a fee, you can have your car, truck, or SUV wrapped with a special kind of vinyl. You can go with a partial wrap or a full wrap. This ultimately makes your vehicle a rolling billboard and no matter where you go you will always be spreading the word about your small business. The best thing about using a vehicle wrap is that your advertisement is only limited by your own imagination.
Peacocking
When you see a Peacock you see a bird that is trying to gain the attention of the other birds by spreading a wide array of colorful feathers out for the world to see. You can apply this trick to your small business promotion. The easiest way to do this is to basically copy the bird.
Order shirts or hats that feature your small business' name and logo, only don't go with solid colors. Instead go with a wide array of colors and make sure that the colors are loud in nature, such as pastels. These shirts and hats, though gaudy, will gain you much attention and hopefully all those who look will see your small business name and logo and will have them stick in their minds.
Word of Mouth - Pay for it
Word of mouth is absolutely essential for any small business, but what if your small business is too new to have any? Pay for it. While this sounds crazy, there are many marketing gurus who swear by this tactic.
Simply pay a few people to go to a crowded area, such as a mall, and have them talk up your business. The end result should be an increase in interest from those who are eves dropping and hopefully an increase on your overall sales as well.
At the end of the day, any promotion for your small business is good promotion. However, if you want to ensure that you will stand out from the rest of the crowd, then you have to get a bit creative. By using these tips and your own imagination, you too can have a small business that everyone is talking about, and more importantly, visiting.

Great ideas! Good job.
I worked for a company once that was trying to promote vehicle wraps. They were quite expensive, but you're right – they were also great advertising "vehicles."
