Evergreen is a 9 hole, public golf course. The Evergreen Golf Club par is 35/36. Par is the number of stokes it should take you to complete the nine holes; each hole has a different par number (suggested number of swings) which add up to the par of the course. Evergreen Golf Club has what is known as a "slope rating" of 116. A courses slope rating lies somewhere between 55 on the lower end and 155 for the most challenging courses. 116 is just above average difficulty. Despite the fact that the Evergreen Golf Club is a shorter course, there are golf carts which are definitely available. Evergreen Golf Club also offers instruction, has a pro shop, lounge and offers "golf and stay" packages for folks who are interested. Discounts are available for ladies, students, seniors, and groups.

Hideaway Hills Golf Club is a bigger, 18 hole public course also located in the Pocono Mountains. Hideaway Hills Golf Club is a par 72. When you're in the Pocono Mountains at Hideaway Hills Golf Club, players will enjoy a bent grass fairway, driving range, scenic views, has a comprehensive pro shop and Hideaway Hills Golf Club offers play & stay packages. For bigger events at Hideaway Hills, there are banquet facilities available and senior citizens are offered mid-week discounted rates.

A third Pocono Mountain Golf Course is the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort. With a sprawling 27 hole course, Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort is a public/resort course. Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort checks in with a par of 71 and a "Tillinghast design." In addition Shawnee Inn & Golf Course has a driving range, golf shop, academy, offers lessons, and has a 9 hole approach course. Moreover the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort is lit for night play. Shawnee Inn & Golf Course also offers corporate & group outings and has a number of restaurants: River Room, The Bistro, and Sam Snead's Tavern.

Post a CommentThese are NOT the best golf courses in the Poconos. Evergreen is a dog track. Buck Hill Golf Club, Skytop Lodge, Jack Frost National are all far superior to these three.
