Top Three Hotels in Vancouver, Washington

Vancouver is the oldest city in Washington, and is a great stop for the history buff minded tourist. Once a large wester fort, make sure to check out the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. The Pearson Airfield is also an interesting stop for those curious about aviation history. The beautiful views of the Columbia river are gorgeous, and this city is less hectic than nearby Portland. The Heathman Lodge is a sophisticated alternate to your standard hotel. It is a resort lodge, located 15 minutes from downtown, giving it a woodsy, private feel. There is perhaps a rustic atmosphere, but the services are not rustic: the rooms are large and comfortable (especially the suites!) and come equipped with air-conditioning, television, refrigerator, microwave, iron, and a hairdryer.
