Sandy Lane Luxury Golf and Spa Resort
Sandy Lane resort offers ocean rooms, dolphin suites, penthouses and villas, all decorated with white island elegance. The spacious rooms are laid out with plush furnishings, tile floors, private balconies and enormous beds, not to mention the 52-inch TV's in the room. Each room begins at over 700 square feet, and some contain second bedrooms for children.
If you'd like to be waited on hand and foot during your stay, choose a 5-bedroom villa accommodation, where you'll receive dedicated butler, housekeeping and night security service. Each villa is over 7300 square feet and features enormous bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, a private pool and Jacuzzi, laundry facilities and a restaurant-size kitchen with your own chef. You'll also receive a $100 voucher per adult for a spa service.
So how much will staying in the lap of luxury cost you? For a low season (summer) rate, you can expect to spend between $1000 and $9000, with the low-end representing a standard room rate. All rates include a full breakfast each morning.
Cobbler's Cove
This Colonial-themed hotel offers several one and two-bedroom suites decorated comfortably with English and Caribbean furniture. Wake up each morning to a beautiful azure ocean view and walk out to the beach, which is just a few steps away from your bedroom. Some rooms also have a sweet garden view as well. All rooms are air conditioned and have the typical amenities, like a hairdryer, mini bar and bathrobes. You'll also get a kitchenette in some of the high-end suites.
The one thing about this hotel that is uniform in all the rooms - the beds are massive! Even though the mattresses are the typical size, the four poster frames and elegant Colonial designs make them look grand. Suites are also designed with marble flooring.
There's several water sports on-site, including a private pool, windsurfing, water skiing, sailing and snorkeling.
Room rates start around $330 per night in the low season, so this hotel is more affordable than Sandy Lane.
Crane Residential Resort
As Barbados' first resort hotel, the Crane resort is perched upon a cliff and looks like an Aztecan fortress, only much more majestic and sprawling. The resort is home to private residences, hotel rooms and villas, as well as a large number of azure pools that rival the blue of the Caribbean Sea beyond.
Hotel rooms are designed with old style charm - not too frilly, but far from the norm. There's also several restaurants on-site, so you'll never have to leave the grounds if you don't want to.
Rates begin around $450 and obviously fluctuate depending on the season. There are nightly minimums of 3-5 nights in certain seasons, so keep this in mind when you book.
