Top Three Pho Restaurants in Seattle, WA

Corey Roberts
There's nothing like a piping hot bowl of Pho on a cold winter day. Pho (pronounced like fuh), is a Vietnamese noodle soup that comes with a beef broth and an assortment of green onions, onions, bean sprouts, basil and jalapenos. The assortment of vegetables is given to you on a plate and you can add them to your bowl of soup at your leisure. If you have ever stopped by Seattle, WA, you will have noticed that there are a vast amount of Pho restaurants all over the place. For people visiting and that are new to the area, there are three Pho restaurants that stand-out. It is strongly recommended that you try one of these three fabulous Pho restaurants.

Than Brothers

If you ask any Pho lover about their favorite beef noodle restaurant, at least one of them will save Than Brothers. The reason why this restaurant is so popular is due to its extremely cheap prices, fast service and great tasting Pho. A large bowl (and believe me it's HUGE) will cost you around $5.00 and will leave you satisfied for the rest of the day. Plus, Than Brothers also provides two small crèmes puffs for dessert at no additional charge. The hardest part is wondering whether to consume these delicious crème puffs before or after the meal. Remember to bring cash when eating here as they do not accept checks and credit cards.

Pho Cyclo

Pho Cyclo has great tasting Pho and the beef broth used for the soup is very deep and hearty. Unlike Than Brothers, the price of a large bowl of soup is quite steep (compared to Than Brothers). A large bowl will cost you around $8.00; however, the quality of the soup broth is much higher than that at Than Brothers. Also, the beef quality is a bit higher here and you definitely should try the Vietnamese style meatballs.

Pho Bac

Pho Bac is a quaint little place that is located in the heart of the International District. The beef broth here is the best and the warm, hearty soup will have you coming back for more. Prices here are similar to Pho Cyclo for a large bowl of Pho. Remember to bring cash to this place as they do not accept credit cards.

Seattle is a very multi-cultural city and visitors should definitely try one of these Pho restaurants the next time they visit.
