According to Lynn Schnaiberg the top five places to explore are Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, Wildkirchli Trail in Switzerland, Havasu Canyon in Arizona, Darien Gap in Panama, and Crow Pass Trail in Alaska. Each has there own beauty and reason why anyone would want to hike there.
No matter the beauty of the place I find there is still no place like home. A lot of people feel they have to go away to have a fun time or spend lots of money. This is not true. Some of my favorite places to hike are at home.
1) Take a long hike around a lake right around the time the sun sets or rises. There is nothing more beautiful than the way the sun glows off the water.
2) If you a country girl like me all you really have to do is go out your back door. The trees in the autumn time are breathtaking. Unless you explored your own back yard you never know what beauty you will find. If you're a city boy or girl, hop in your car and take a ride. You will eventually find a small town worth exploring.
3) History can be a great way to make things fun. I remember reading this book, titled Mystic Michigan, and in the book it talked about different locations in Michigan that were very mysterious. I got to thinking about how cool that would be to explore some of those things. I have yet to do it wants the water drops in one of our lakes I want to hike the path the Native American's used a long time ago. Like Michigan history is all around us. Pick up a book on your how state and you may even find someplace special close to home to hike.
Those are my three favorite top places to hike and explore but if you are interested in knowing more about the top places in the world to hike, check out Lynn Schnaiberg's Iexplore site for the top ten greatest places to hike or the top ten places in the United States.
