2010 is here, and it's time to start working on your resolutions. Whether you want to improve your fitness or save money, in 2010 if you don't have a plan you can't win.
Here in Los Angeles there are many low cost or even free activities that allow you to keep your New Year's resolution.

Resolution: Stay away from junk food, eat more fruits and vegetables.
Solution: Attend a farmer's market. Farmer Market's will have the fruits and vegetables that are in season, along with other snacks like nuts and grains. Feel comfortable with what you buy, as vendors usually pass out samples before your purchase. Farmer Market's are all across Los Angeles, (small - large) and usually features entertainment as well.

Resolution: Spend less money on entertainment
Solution: Visit your local library. Libraries have CD's of your current favorite artist, as well as movies. Instead of heading to blockbuster, you can check out a movie for free. Want a song? Instead of downloading at itunes, get the CD from the library. If traveling to the library isn't ideal for you, try the lowest plan at NetFlix's, you can see current and old film or TV favorites for about five dollars a month.* Browse catalog.

Resolution: I want to exercise more.
Solution: Exercising is important regardless of what size you are. However, you might fear the commitment or price of a gym membership, if this is the case try going to a Fitness Park. Fitness Parks are throughout Los Angeles, and are outdoor gyms in local parks. They are custom for easy-to use cardio and strength training. If you don't want to use the outdoor equipment, you can always run/walk around the track, or bring a jump rope or other equipment and make your own routine. Fitness parks are located from Santa Monica to Buena Park.
