Top Three Restaurants for a Romantic Evening in Clifton Heights, PA

A Night of Romance

Jennifer Bove
Looking for a romantic restaurant in Clifton Heights may be a little difficult unless you already know where to look. Plenty of diners, pubs, bar/restaurants though. I hope this short list proves useful when you are looking for that romantic meal out in Clifton Heights, PA.

Top Three Restaurants for a Romantic Evening in Clifton Heights, PA-The Clam Tavern

The Clam Tavern is a very pleasant place to take a date. When you visit the website, please don't be fooled by the pictures. They are all of the lower level where the bar is located. You can eat in this area, but the nicer, quieter, more romantic area is located on the upper floor. The upper level is quiet and few other people will be seated in that area at the same time. This allows you privacy to get to know each other if on a first date, or enjoy some nice alone time if you've been together for some time already. The specialty at the Clam Tavern, as you would expect with that name is seafood. Fear not, if you are not a seafood lover, there's a little something for everyone. If you would like, view their menu to get an idea of what they serve and their prices before your visit there. Phone and address are as follows:

339 E. Broadway Avenue
Clifton Heights, PA 19018

Top Three Restaurants for a Romantic Evening in Clifton Heights, PA-Caroline's Restaurant

While technically the name of the town is Secane, it is still the 19018 zip code. The towns around here are split up so much, although really they are just one big town. The zip code 19018 covers Clifton Heights, Aldan and Secane. Caroline's is unique because it is split up into three different sections. There is the bar, the dining and the banquet rooms. No fear though, they are kept separate, and you will not be eating in a bar atmosphere. I have been in all three sections of this restaurant and was never once disappointed. A little off topic, I used the banquet hall for my beef and beer fund raiser for my son, and the staff was fabulous. In the dining room, the staff is very attentive and the tables and atmosphere are quaint and unique. Unfortunately, the section of the website with the dining room are down. You will have a quiet, romantic evening as the staff treats you as if you were the only people there. At the same time, they treat you as though you're a regular, whether the first time there or the twentieth. It is always nice to be treated like family, not just a tip. If you would like an idea of food and prices before you visit, I recommend visiting their menu. Phone and address are as follows:

925 Providence Rd
Secane, PA 19018

Top Three Restaurants for a Romantic Evening in Clifton Heights, PA-Romarco'sā€Ž

Romarco's is nice in the winter and even nicer on a warm spring or summer night. The reason it is nicer in warm weather, is because I find it very romantic to eat outside. Romarco's has a nice deck out back. No worries, you won't be forgotten out there, the wait staff is just as attentive to their outdoor diners as their indoor diners. The food is Italian, and have large portions that you're sure to be able to bring home and light a few candles and snack on the leftovers for a repeat romantic dinner at home the next night. Just like the Clam Tavern and Caroline's, there is a bar on premises, but it is separated from the dining area. You won't feel as if you're are eating at the local bar. Instead you will have the feel of a nice cozy Italian restaurant. Phone and address are as follows:

451 East Baltimore Avenue,
Clifton Heights, PA 19018-1720
(610) 626-7414ā€Ž

In all, Clifton Heights, PA may not be packed with romantic restaurants as the city is. If you know where to look, a romantic dinner you will have. Clifton Heights is a pretty close knit community, and you will find romance in places you wouldn't think of by looking at just pictures or web reviews, This is something you need to experience yourself, give it a shot even if it doesn't necessarily have the "look" and you will be pleasantly surprised.
