Hydration
Choose to stay hydrated. Drink a glass of water in the morning before breakfast. Reach for water throughout the day. Sip on beverages that are water based. Select tea, coffee, iced coffee, fresh juices, and unsweetened bottled juices over soda. Sweeten drinks with Stevia, Splenda, or half the amount of table sugar. Try an insulated thermos and reusable spill proof cups to keep drinks cold or hot while out of the house.
Sugar
Reduce the amount of sugar that is consumed daily to ward off adrenal fatigue. In an effort to get quick energy many people drink high sweetened beverages that deplete the adrenal glands. The adrenals are the size of small Brazil nuts and sit on directly on top of the kidneys. The adrenal gland produces an internal liquid that produces hormones responsible for regulating the metabolism, sex hormones, and stress hormones.
Today's modern life can be stressful. Everyday work and household responsibilities are enough to make the average person feel stressed out. Eliminating sugar in drinks and staying hydrated is a great way to take care of the adrenal glands.
Antioxidants
Consume antioxidant rich in season vegetables that can be prepared quickly. Cabbage, leafy greens, and bags of salad can all be prepared quickly. Whole vegetables can be washed, rinsed, and spun dry in a few minutes. Use reusable plastic containers or storage bags made for produce. This is an easy way to have several servings prepared ahead of time.
Frozen vegetables are often cheaper than fresh produce. Use store specials and coupons to stock up on the vegetables that suit personal and family taste buds. Increasing the amount of fiber in the diet helps to keep the body regular. A healthy person should have a foot long bowel movement, or three four inch movements each day. Elimination is an important part of looking younger. Dry skin brushing each day before showering, and light exercise helps with the frequency of elimination.
Sleep
it is easy to stay up late in the evenings, doing chores that have to get done. Many people are working more hours to make ends meet. Making sleep a priority can help to prevent burn out and exhaustion. Try to get at least two hours or more of sleep before midnight. Turn the television, computers, and other electronic devices off. Turn the ringer on cell phones and home telephones to silent. Reclaim bedtime and wake up earlier to get more done during the day.
Small changes can have a great impact helping to repair the body each night during sleep. Use these tips to help look younger and have a better quality of life.
