Top Three Viral Videos that Make Me Smile

Here is my list of the top three videos that have gone viral. The qualities a video must have in order to stand out from the millions of others online varies but there is one quality that all of these videos share and that is they are "unique". Here is my list.

Kellie Pickler - Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader

The first viral video to make it to my list is the clip of former American Idol contestant, Kellie Picker's appearance on the television game show, Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader. Kellie Pickler inspired a slew of dumb blonde jokes with her hilarious performance. My take is that the infectiously cute Miss Picker is much smarter than we give her credit. This version of the video received over four million views. There are several other versions available, but this one is in my opinion the best. Watching Kellie Pickler's video makes me feel just a little bit smarter.

Straight No Chaser's the Twelve Days of Christmas

Straight No Chaser is an A Capella group from Indiana that has found great success on youtube.com. This incredible group now tours the country. They have quite a few videos available on YouTube. Their version of the popular Christmas song, The Twelve Days of Christmas is one of their most successful. This version has received over eleven million views. One of my favorite things about YouTube is that it gives those just starting out an inexpensive platform to be heard and in the case of this group to be discovered. Their rendition of Toto's Africa is another video worth watching.

Laughing Baby

This video taken by Swedish father became a YouTube sensation in 2009. The video has received over one hundred and sixteen million views. It is absolutely adorable. If you have not seen it before (even if you have), watching it will put a smile on your face. I first saw this video in an email I received from a friend last year. It is a simple concept but it works. The dad says a string of silly words and the baby laughs with each one.

There you have my eclectic list of the top three viral videos that make me smile. The first video makes me feel smart. The second video is just really good music. The third video is perfect in its simplicity and it puts a smile on my face every time I watch it. If you haven't seen these three viral videos check them out.
