Korean universities offer students from around the world an opportunity to study at leading universities. Most foreigners choose to live in the bustling city of Seoul. This city brims with Korean culture and nightlife that goes on until sunrise. Students will have the experience of a lifetime and have an opportunity to travel throughout East Asia to nearby countries like China, Taiwan and Japan. The following universities represent a sample of the top universities in "The land of morning calm".

Seoul National University is the premier institute of higher learning in South Korea. The main campus sits in the exciting city of Seoul, the center of culture and nightlife in what is known as the "Hermit Kingdom". This liberal university wants students to know "Seoul National University has a tradition of standing up for democracy and peace on the Korean peninsula." Dedicated to research and promoting global exchange, students can be confident they will be a part of a vibrant and intellectual community. Recently, Seoul National University was ranked overall 47th in the world by the Times Higher Education and 27th in Engineering and Technology.

Yonsei University is recognized as the best co-educational, private university in South Korea. Also located in the grand city of Seoul, this tranquil campus surrounds you in nature and makes you forget you live in the center of one of the biggest cities in the world. Founded in 1885 by Christian missionaries, this university boasts 300,000 alumni around the world. Learn from more than 3,500 whose motto is "truth and freedom". Despite its religious roots, Yonsei University wants you to know they possess "a liberal and forward-looking vision for the 21st century."

For students who want to experience life in South Korea outside Seoul, Pusan National University thrives in the second largest city, Pusan. Located on the southeastern coast of South Korea, students have access to the beach and can easily travel to Japan for long weekends on the hydrofoil ferry. Pusan National University looks for innovative and intellectual international students with open minds to embrace the ways of Korean culture. At its inception in 1946, Pusan National University started with only a Faculty of Humanities and Fisheries, but now presents students with the option of 15 colleges.
