Topiaries and Men

A Powers
Cars drive on sidewalks
where there are no signs or lights to stop them,
and yet stop at intersections most times.
Some things in a good tea
settle to the bottom where they can be seen,
appreciated or removed,
and others stay in the mix to flavor it.
A hard door to open sometimes stays open
long enough to let an extra person through.
The wind doesn't blow some things selectively.
Expiration dates have no basis in reality.
Neither do wood chips on a playground.
Lots of things stay kind of broken for a long time.
Topiaries might be philosophical.
Men are the same way.
