Book Binding

An online service called Paperback Swap makes it easy to get books for a cheap price and to trade books you no longer want.

In what I hope to continue as a series on comic book binding, this round I wanted to discuss how comic binding can create unique volumes of never before reprinted material. The following volume was my first attempt at comic binding.

The inevitable question I'm always asked though is if binding comic books devalues them. I'd thought I'd compare the economics of why I bind comics (to a friend of mine that does not) using the first twenty issues of the most recent Green Lantern series.

Comic binding is not necessarily a new idea but it means I can now have series or story arcs bound together and put them on the shelf right next to my mass produced trade paperbacks and graphic novels.

Amazon's e-book reader Kindle has been given an upgrade, leaving many in a tizzy to get their hands on the portable device. But I must admit, this former English major won't be part of the crowd.

When it's time to move, you might be staring at your shelves of books and DVDs in awe. How on earth are you going to pack and transport the heavy objects in your home without breaking your back?

Since new books can be expensive, there are other, cheaper options for people who read often. These websites can save an avid reader a lot of money on paperback books.
