Maslow's Hierarchy of needs should not be forgotten in these days of challenges and the upcoming demands that will face businesses and marketing worldwide.

Maslow developed five basic needs that form a type of hierarchy that ranges from needs that are biologically based to needs that are quite abstract and unique.

Many Americans have replaced their needs for wants. For example, cable television is ranked in a category similar to paying the electric bill. In this growing economic crisis, the needs and wants must return to their proper categories.

This is an article which questions our personal lack of initiative regarding our desires for higher education versus our essential requirement to earn a living. It seems that the content of our lives upon that scale has become less transparent over time.
