Syrah

Serving winter wines at holiday dinner parties has been a family tradition through four generations. It began with my grandmother who consumed one glass of red wine with her Christmas meal.

This is a wine tasting that compares the same syrah fermented three years ago using two different yeasts, both recognized as being promising yeasts for syrah. The results: a definite difference in the resulting wines.

A happy typographical error led me to this classically styled syrah from Stagecoach Vineyards in Napa Valley, California. Tasting notes before and after decanting for this well-rated wine.
