Usenet

NZBVortex is a fantastic Usenet client for Mac OS X. It costs 20 bucks, but the features, integration and ease of use make up for it. It's a great program that makes downloading from Usenet a breeze.

With HelloNZB, it's simple to download files from Usenet using the NewzBin NZB file format. HelloNZB uses Java, so is available for Mac, Windows and Linux.

SABnzbd makes it simple to download files from Usenet right from your web browser. No extra programs to launch, and SABnzbd can download in the background while you do something else.

With Kwooty, it's easy to download from Usenet using NZB files.

GrabIt is a nice, free solution for people wanting to browse Usenet discussion groups or download binaries. It also supports NZB, which is a huge plus for power downloaders, and has a simple interface for those new to Usenet.

LottaNZB (a HellaNZB frontend), is a fantastic new Usenet binary downloader for Linux. It's fast, easy to use, and has some great features.

Usenet, in spite of its age (Usenet was around even before the first web browser!), is still quite popular, both for sharing files and for messaging. Nemo is a new client for Mac that I think has real potential.

NZB Drop is a small application for Mac that allows a user to take advantage of NZB (a file format for downloading binaries from Usenet servers), without having to actually deal with a full-fledged Usenet client.

Pan is a great Usenet client in the same vein as Agent for Windows. It is fast, easy to use, and stable as any Internet client I've used on either Mac or Linux. If you're looking for a Usenet client, Pan may be just the thing for you!

Unison is a fantastic Usenet client for Mac. It is released by Panic Software, and not only is a great news reader, but also an excellent binaries downloader with automatic grouping of binaries from the same set.
