Neurofibromatosis

An inherited disorder, neurofibromatosis-1 is where nerve tissue tumors occur in the cranial nerves, spinal root nerves, and subcutaneous tissue.

Neurofibromatosis has three varieties, NF1,NF2, and Schwannomatosis. They create tumors that can cause discomfort or in some cases sever pain. They affect young people.

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a genetic disease of the nervous system in which causes tumors to grow on nerve tissue. These tumors may or not be harmless, but, when they compress other nerves or tissue they may cause serious damage.

Neurofibromatosis is a rare genetic condition which causes tumors of the nervous system and abnormalities of the skin. These tumors are mostly benign but there may be occasional malignancies.

Neurofibromatosis can cause so many things to go wrong in a person's life. It can cause deafness, blindness, paralysis and so much more.

For children born with neurofibromatosis, early diagnosis and treatment is important to overall health.
