Quorn

Quorn is an excellent source of protein for vegetarians, as well as people who are simply trying to reduce their meat consumption. But is Quorn a suitable product for vegan consumption?

Quorn is a vegetarian product made from mycoprotein (a form of vegetable protein) dipped in egg and formed into strips, balls, mince and other shapes and sizes, which makes it versatile and easy to adapt recipes.

Quorn has been eaten in the UK as a meat-free substitute for decades, but has only recently made an appearance in the United States since 2002.

In the past, I have always enjoyed Quorn products. I was disappointed to be let down by this one.

Does their chik'n taste like chicken and does their turk'y taste like turkey? Their turk'y taste like turkey and their chik'n taste like chicken.

Though it would appear from the full selection of meatless products that Quorn offers that they are a chicken and turk'y tasting product producing company they do in fact offer a ground beef tasting product, called grounds, and they offer meatless meatballs as well.

Some of the products that I tried of Quorn's were their chik'n wings, chik'n tenders, chik'n patties and chik'n nuggets. Quorn chik'n tenders definitely taste like chicken.
