A Senate inquiry into Spygate really makes no sense.

Spygate isn't serious enough to warrant Congressional interference. If there's anything we can learn from the Clemens witch hunt it's that Warren Spector should keep his nose out of the NFL and let the league police itself as it has for many years.

The possibility of further Spygate evidence could leave the Patriots open for deeper punishments. Here are some old and new ideas that their most rabid enemies could call for.

National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell, in his annual State of the League Address, has once more brought up the issue of "spygate." Political pressure and involvement, as with the steroid controversy in Major League Baseball, has become common in sports.

Of all the story lines being played out in this week's Super Bowl, from the Giants improbable run, to the Patriots perfection, to the rematch of destiny, the most talked about story will be the one that won't go away; Spygate.

This reader simply does not accept the notion that the Patriots defensive unit is missing talent or ability. So, how is it that one of the greatest football minds of our generation cannot get this defensive unit to step up, even a little?
