Yesterday's second round NFL games were expected to be close, but only one really was. For today, the Bears and Patriots are expected to blow by the Seahawks and Jets, yet will things go haywire again?

Expectations are fairly different for today and tomorrow's NFL doubleheader. The two games expected to be thrillers are being played today, while both of the expected blowouts are held tomorrow.

Conventional wisdom has often been defied in the NFL this year. Yet few expected to see both the Seahawks and Jets win yesterday, leaving today and the rest of the postseason a bit more unpredictable.

In today's NFL playoff opener, conventional wisdom has the Saints and Colts advancing over the Seahawks and Jets. Of course, some may still see a Jets win coming, while no one sees a Seahawks victory as likely.

This article is an update to an article I wrote back in the middle of September about the teams I felt were going to make the playoffs. After one week it was pretty tough but my predictions are pretty accurate so far.
