Toronto Film Festival Opens September 9 2010 with the Unlikely Title: " Score! a Hockey Musical "

Yes, This is No SNL Skit: Toronto Opens with a Sports Related Musical Film

Aside from the fact that this is CANADA and they adore hockey as all of Europe adores the World cup... Yet I am having trouble understanding why they choose " Score: A Hockey Musical" to open the remarkable TIFF fest.

So are you as unimpressed as I am? I do like the nod to homeschooling and non competitive sports. However, be it as it may, there are over 300 films showing Sept 9-18' 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festival. Some of the other goodies are listed here :

If you are anywhere near Toronto I advise you to go. And don't forget New Yorkers can even ride the wonderful MEGABUS there for about $ 32.00 each way from downtown New York.

However, you may have to find a couch to surf on as the hotels are all really filled with film critics and movie stars.
