A nation is broken. We have a hard time believing in the system. Casey Anthony is allowed to live her life new and fresh. Society lost a young beautiful little girl, Caylee Anthony. She captured our hearts. When she went missing we prayed for a safe return home, to her family.

She would never make it home safely. Instead her remains were found, and we cried in outrage as a society. Her mother Casey was charged with her murder. We will never know what this little girl could have become in her life. Her memory lives forever in those who hold her close to their hearts.

The trial of her murder with her mother being charged with homicide rocked the nation. We waited on tippy toes, hoping and praying justice would be made for this little girl Caylee. Justice would never come for her. The evidence at trial against Casey was overwhelming; a guilty verdict was a sure thing. Or so we thought. And it wasn't. Casey can never be retried for her daughter's death that would be double jeopardy.

Lies after lies were made public and we fell to the floor in shock. We were so sure she would be found guilty. No she was not. A not guilty verdict was not what we were expected. We were expecting justice to be served for Caylee. She deserves justice. No child, no one deserves how her life was taken.

She will never get to experience love, marriage, college or anything. She left this earth to early. Life is not fair. Casey gets to move on with her life as if nothing happened. She gets a fresh start in life. Her daughter will never have the opportunities we all take for granted.

Justice failed her. How can the system fail her? It doesn't seem possible. But it did happen. It happens more than we care to admit. Most of us do not have faith in our system any longer. How can we? We simply can't.

Her short presence in the world did touch us all. We will never forget her. She will live forever in our hearts. Caylee you will always be in our hearts. We didn't know you but we still love you and that love is forever and unconditional. We will carry you with us for a lifetime. You will never be forgotten sweetheart.
