You do not have to belong to a gym or even own a home gym in order to improve your body's health and fitness. With some simple items that you find in the home you will be able to do a body total work out and develop cardiovascular conditioning plus build up your muscular strength and endurance without utilizing space taken up by equipment or having to pay expensive membership fees.

Let's look at cardiovascular conditioning (aerobic exercise) which will help to give you a body total workout plus show you how to get rid of love handles.

Here's some useful steps:

1. Select an aerobic activity that you like which you can do outdoors such walking, running, hiking, biking, inline skating, soccer or tennis.

2. Buy or rent an exercise video. There are many different types to choose from. You can purchase ones from kickboxing to step aerobics.

3. Another way to get fit is to mow the lawn with a push mower (not an electric one) . Why not vacuum the carpets (even men can do this)? If you live somewhere where it snows frequently you can shovel the snow of your pathways. Also you could carry the groceries or a filled laundry basket up a flight of stairs. Not only is this a way of getting some exercise but a way of doing those chores that appear on your "to do" list each day.

4. Turn on your favorite music and dance to it. That is a good body total workout and a method how to get rid of love handles especially if you do the twist.

5. Why not organize a game of flag football, kickball, soccer or any group activity with a bunch of friends.

6. Take up skipping as this is an in expensive way of getting some cardiovascular exercise.

7. Visit your local park and see if they have a fitness trail set up which includes exercise stations along the way . These exercise stations often come with instructions on how to perform the exercises that have been set out and will make your walk much more interesting.

However before starting any form of body total workout there are somethings that you must remember to do.

1. Always begin any activity gradually and build it up in order to allow your body to warm up.

2. Try to carry out at least 30 minutes each day each week or every other day.

3. Choose the right sort of clothes and equipment for the exercise that you are doing and you will find that you are even more likely to exercise when the weather is bad.

4. Exercise with a friend since it not only makes it more enjoyable for you but you are also more likely to stick to your regime.

5. Do some cross training by varying the type and length of aerobic exercise that you do and this will help to keep you from getting bored or injured.

6. Most important of all consult your health care provider or doctor before you begin any sort of exercise program and you'll acheive your goal of a body total workout.

If you find yourself watching a lot of television, running in place in front of the tv with one pound weights can be a good way to increase your metabolism and staying fit.
