After a quick internet search for Total Lending, one will find that their customers' experiences are negative. By visiting sites like Debt Consolidation Care, one can discover that Total Lending has withdrawn unauthorized debits from accounts. Other sites like ripoffreport.com illustrate similar issues of unauthorized debits and instances of company representatives bullying customers into paying.
Some customers have apparently had a decent experience with Total Lending. However, other customers have had payments of roughly $60 withdrawn from their account for several months if not a year. During this time, the loan is not paid down - the balance sits there.
When customers try to contact Total Lending regarding any payment issues, they often have trouble. This has been expressed by some individuals on Yahoo Answers. Contact information is hard for customers to find. They cannot look at their statement to find contact information because there are no statements sent to customers. Also, customers have not been able to find much of a website for Total Lending. When you visit totallendinginc.com you see one and only page that only gives an address, phone number, fax number, and an email address. Is it any surprise that a lender of ill repute has an address in the Bahamas?
A customer even reported that they had a payment issue with an associated company, and was called by a representative from this associated company listed only as "gfsil" on their bank statements. This representative threatened the customer with bank fraud charges and an arrest warrant. The fraud charges and arrest warrant were bogus.
All in all, if you have a loan with Total Lending, don't be surprised if you end up making many, many payments without your balance going down. Don't expect any statements, via email or postal mail, because you won't get any. And don't expect any kind of help from their site, because their site really isn't a website.
If you do not have a loan with Total Lending, don't get one. If you do have one, you need to pay off the loan as soon as possible. Once you have the money to pay the payday loan off, contact Total Lending. I suggest sending a fax, requesting that your loan be paid off on your next due date and you want written confirmation via email that the fax was received. This way you will have written confirmation of your request to pay off the loan, and written confirmation the fax was received. Be sure to fax Total Lending several days before your next scheduled payment (payments are scheduled every other week or whatever your pay frequency is).
Once your payday loan with Total Lending is paid off, you may want to take extra precaution and order your bank to stop authorizing ACH payments initiated by Total Lending. This usually comes with a fee, however. If you are very concerned, you may want to get a new checking account number. Do not change your account number until your loan is paid off, though, or you're asking for trouble.

Post a Commentthis lady just called my phone 2x to say she was a process server to serve me a summons on a ck thru total lending and gave me a number to call and the guy knew who i was when i called supposebly located in virgina called providence law firm and said i pay now or have charges brought against me well icalled all 3 courts in my area they told me to contact the police.
I had this company call me out of the blue, they told me that i owed an undertermined amount and that if i didnt pay within 25 minutes they would but a warrant out for my arrest and revoke my citizenship! Those two statements right there told me that this was a scam or fraud. Firsts things first, they cannot put u in jail because it is a civil matter. Number 2, i have a friend in homeland security and even HE doesn't have the right to revoke a natural born citizens right to be here iin america. they are sharky, ruthless and need to be stopped NOW!
The sharks are out there, as this article amply demonstrates. Thanks for the warning.
I really dislike the payday loan companies. They play on the people who don't or can't always make the best decisions because they are desperate. To me, that is dispicable. We have a new commercial running here for a company that will make you a loan no matter what. They cover themselves by saying at the end "be sure you can afford the monthly payment before you make the call." Right! I've been desperate before and I KNOW that reason goes out the door when you need to feed your children.
