Totally Amazed
At people and their different ways
Most are very honest, and wouldn't lie
But some use dishonesty, as a way to get by
So whatever happened, to the golden rule?
Doing unto others, like you want them to do for you
It seems that everyone, forgot
That being nice to others, can help us alot
And why don't parents teach children,respect anymore?
Kids treat peers and adults, worse than ever before
If parents would stop trying,to be their child's best friend
Some of this disrespect, would probably end
Then there's this idea, about the beauty thing
Which leaves a whole lot of us wondering
Because beauty, really comes from within
It's not the size of your body, or the shape of your chin
Yes our concept of morality, has gone down the drain
Some peoples clothing and language...totally insane
They don't care if you don't want to hear ugly words
And the amount of body they show, is so absurd
I really hope,soon we can turn things around
Possibly get people to thinking, a little more sound
Maybe, get back to some of the values we shared,
When people cared about people everywhere!

Awesome article, Nancie...Parents are too busy being friends with their kids, instead of being parents....We have become a totally anti-authority nation....we even took the authority of life and death itself away from God and gave it to the government. Well done, sis.

You are right Ken, Government has too much say in all aspects of our life anymore..... as my Mama used to say, they strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel!! They will give a child back to a parent taht harms it.... yet they will call the FBI if parents discipline their kids the way we
were as kids! Seems like they would notice, that their method really isn't working......
