Our daughter Amy is about your age, and it seems the early 80s to her had a lot to do with My Little Pony and Rainbow Bright and Punky Brewster. Then it was MTV and keeping up with her friends, and us trying to get her home at a reasonable time. How many times we drove up Kirkwood Avenue looking for one kid or another. Asking the other kids there, "Have you seen Jim [David, Aaron, Amy, Josh ... ]" Oy, what a decade. But Smurfette was hot, I have to admit ....
