Touched

Searching for a calmness within my soul,
I reach out to touch your hand,

And you heal me with an everlasting warmth.
A tear sheds from my eye,
And you are right there to wipe it away,

As you held onto me and healed my heart.
Outside, I find myself walking within this glorious creation that you made,
And I raise my heart out to you.

You gave me life,
And a gift to share upon this earth that you made as our home.
For that, I am touched.

I am surrounded by family who you selected to raise and care for me.
There are friends in my life who are there to catch me when I fall,
Or friends who are there to laugh with me even in our darkest moments.

You provided that for me,
And for that, I am touched.

A home helps keeps me warm at night,
And brings me shelter from the storms.
Nature brings me happiness and serenity.

Among this earth, your gifts are all around us.
For those who just can't see all that you do for us, Lord-
I pray for them.

I bless them, and hope they see the same gifts that I do.
I pray for their heart to be whole.
And I pray for them, because you love me.

And for that, I am touched.

I pray that they will learn to love,
The same way that I have learned to love you.

And for that-I am sure that you will be touched too.
