I love the packaging of these wheat wraps. The front offers pictures of possible meal ideas, while the back states the nutritional information including the list of ingredients and a bonus recipe for a quick lunch. The bag is clear plastic which enables you to see exactly what the product look like, a feature that I always appreciate. I paid only $1.99 for a ten ounce package. This contained five large whole wheat flour wraps. Certainly more expensive than a generic loaf of white bread, the added expense was well worth the positive nutritional benefits.
One wrap offers only one hundred and sixty calories. There is three grams of Fat with point five grams of Saturated Fat per serving. There is no Trans Fat and no Cholesterol in this product. Three hundred and fifteen milligrams of Sodium and twenty seven grams of Total Carbohydrate is contained in one serving. Three grams of Dietary Fiber, six grams of Protein, ten percent of the daily recommended value of Calcium and six percent of Iron is gained from enjoying only one wrap with breakfast or lunch.
I am happy to say that this product definitely exceeded my expectations. The wraps were very tasty and very filling. The large size ensured that simple additions of meat and cheese equaled a full meal. They were very pliable and easy to roll around a variety of fillings. Warming them in the oven added to their flavor and made eating them even more enjoyable.
I truly loved each and every meal I had using these wraps. The possibilities for a nutritious breakfast, lunch or dinner using this product are endless. Scrambled eggs and turkey sausage can be rolled inside for a warm and satisfying breakfast. Lean meats and cheeses with a dollop of low fat mayo can be enjoyed with a wrap for lunch. Left over fish or chicken with a serving of vegetables can be presented to the family in a new and tasty way. Appetizers for a holiday gathering can be easily whipped up using several wraps and favorite ingredients for nachos, chili or pizza. I give Toufayan Bakeries Wheat Wraps a full five star rating and look forward to enjoying this product in many different incarnations in the future.
