Toughest Critic

"Do what Sarah asks you to with Ishmael, and I will take care of him." I realize that God tells us things and we laugh or don't always believe. It is not God's timing that makes things hard to believe. It may not even be a full doubt in God. Sarah doubted God because she was barren, or so she thought. Ishmael was born because of Abraham not believing fully too. However, despite the issues caused, God still took care of everyone involved, including Ishmael. Perhaps, we are our own toughest critics, and we just need to trust in God's power to shape us into what He will in spite of our own downfalls. Our criticism of ourselves can not transfer to God, and in turn, when we focus on Christ, we should realize that God will bring us to where He wants us to be in His will, and His timing. We are our own flame, but perhaps, we should let God do His job of shaping us and go willingly with His will by building our relationship with Him, praying, and listening to Hs word.

Approaching the flame,I can feel a fear.I know it will burn and hurt.However, only two things can happen.Either a person burns away in the flame,Or they become refined.Impurities are burned away.High intense metal and pure gold stands malleable,And they are able to be refined.Answer not this thought...Merely hear the words and think about the flame.It is coming!The cold will be rejected.The lukewarm will be spat out.Only the hot will stay.Everyone fears the flame,But each person chooses to take on the flame in different ways.Are you high intense metal and gold?Or, are you the impurities mixed in the metal.Perhaps, you choose to run away from the flame still to be consumed.What else is left but us standing face to face with God?He is the flame...What will we be?
