Tour De France Organizers Do Not Care About Cancer Victims

Jacob Horn
I was absolutely furious when I read that Tour de France organizers would not allow Lance Armstrong and his team (Radio Shack) to wear black jerseys in honor of cancer victims around the world during the final stage of the Tour. Organizers made Lance and his team change back into the official uniforms and they even held up the start to the final stage of the Tour to allow Lance and his team to change back into official uniforms.

I understand that the Tour de France has a lot of history and prestige but come on now. Why in the world would you stop a group of people from trying to bring awareness to a major problem? I respect what the athletes in the Tour de France can do but nobody really cares about this event. Well, maybe 10 people across the world do.

Tour de France organizers are cold-hearted dimwits. There is nothing I dislike more than idiots like this who cannot see past their own event (even though nobody really cares about this thing unless you play ESPN:Streak for the Cash). Tour de France organizers had a great chance to use their event to raise awareness of a serious problem but Tour de France organizers would rather not honor cancer victims. It is more important to them that the correct uniform is worn.
