Tour Edge Bazooka Geo Max Irons

The Best of Both Worlds

While I have been writing reviews on Tour Edge Golf's Bazooka line for the new year, one think keeps coming up in my mind. These things are so cheap for how much technology you get in them! It is a very, very good way to show their customer base that they not only know what they are doing by designing some very high quality, high performing golf clubs, but also that they realize that not everyone has thousands of hard earned dollars to spend on a set of golf clubs. Heck, with some companies a thousand dollars would only get you 3 clubs!

The Tour Edge Bazooka Geo Max Irons feature what I consider the best combo set in the world. The 3 and 4 irons are hybrids and the rest of the irons are very forgiving cast irons with high M.O.I. and a very long club head. The irons feature 2 15 gram Tungsten screw weights placed on a very deep and low cavity for very high launching shots with a ton of forgiveness on off center hits. They feature very wide soles to further help get the ball in the air as well as to prevent the dreaded "fat" shot that a lot of armature players struggle with.

Obviously I was not able to work these clubs when I tested them, but I had no intention of doing so what so ever! They are pretty close to the most forgiving, highest launching irons I have ever hit. And I have hit hundreds of clubs in my day! It was so easy to get the ball airborne I could almost not believe it when I took my first few swings with them. The distance gap was very predictable and consistent and the ball spun enough on the greens to get it to stop withing a 5 foot area of where the ball landed. The heads are very, very large and bulky, but at the same time, the results I got from hitting them negated any aesthetic displeasure's I had with them.

Point blank, if you need a forgiving iron that will get your ball in the air the Tour Edge Bazooka Geo Max Irons are what you should be looking at! There are a lot of on line retialers that carry these clubs, and you may want to check in with your local pro shop. I have seen these sets for under $500! What a deal!
