Touring Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Toronto is probably one of the most eclectic and best places to visit. I have heard people refer to Toronto as Canada's New York City but only cleaner. Being the largest city in Canada, Toronto has much to offer an avid tourist.

Even if you are afraid of heights like I am do not pass up the opportunity of visiting the CN Tower. This 1,815 foot structure is the world's tallest building. It has amazing views and an amazing piece of glass floor. Although I honestly almost passed out when I saw this glass floor that gives you a view of the ground below. There is also an outside observation deck and a revolving restaurant. Admission prices range from $14.99 to $32.99 depending on the tour package you purchase.

The Royal Ontario Museum has much to offer the art lover in all of us. Their exhibits include world cultural, natural history and hands on. They have a wide variety of ever changing exhibits. The price for admission ranges from $15.00 to $22.00.

The Toronto Zoo is a great place for the entire family to visit. You can be one of the 1.3 million visitors that pass through their gates every year. They have over five thousand animals on seven hundred and ten acres of land. Admission prices start at $12.00 and go to $20.00.

Nightmares Fear Factory is one of the more unique places to visit in Toronto. It is the longest running haunted house attraction in North America. This walk through, self guided attraction is not recommended for small children however. This is a great afternoon activity for adults and teenagers. Admission ranges from $13.95 to $9.95.

The Ontario Science Centre offers fun for all. It was one of the first interactive museums which opened in 1969. Such activities include a science arcade, water maze, planetarium and a learn how to make paper exhibit. To get in the door you will pay anywhere from $11.00 to $25.00 depending on the package you choose.

No trip to Canada would be complete without a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame. This museum is full of interactive games and hockey memorabilia. You can even touch the coveted Stanley Cup they have on display. To get in you will shell out $15.00 to $12.00.

Toronto is for young and old alike. You and your significant other can go or you can pack up the entire family. They have so much to offer citizens and tourists. It is truly an experience you will remember for years to come.
