In south Houston, you'll find a fun boardwalk and great seafood at the Kemah Boardwalk on Clearlake.

Houston's most popular travel destination is the Johnson Space Center, which is located in Southeast Houston. Space Center is open weekdays only during the winter months, but everyday during the summer months. For less than $20, the NASA visitors center offers a fun education for all ages. The fun includes an I-max theatre, interactive space activities, and several space rides.

For more fun, pack up head 45 minutes south of Houston to Galveston Island. Galveston features a first hand look at the Gulf of Mexico with its beautiful coastline. Galveston Beach is a great weekend get-away from the big city atmosphere of Houston. In Galveston, Moody Gardens is a great theme park atmosphere that should give your kids a chance to enjoy your trip. For a historical aspect to your trip, be sure to check out downtown Galveston.
