Town Flood
A poem I wrote last year in September when parts of our town flooded from so much rain
A hooded jacket
to cover my hair
My feet got soaked
but never did I care
You should see
the flooded park
the trees look like
they need Noah's Ark
Cars on the highway
Slushing up spray
"Did you get wet?"
is what everyone will say
So much water
there's not even mud
Any day's a good day
For a town flood
