Town Hall Constituent Asks Congressman "Whose Going to Shoot Obama?" is This What Our Great Republic Has Come To?

Even If You Don't like Obama This is Really Out of Hand and Beyond Political Discourse and Discussion.

I think Barack Hussein Obama is a good person but not a good President. I believe the man is just about everything that most decent patriotic American were taught to dislike and believe is wrong with this. That opinion is not based on his race, but I will acknowledge that some of his critics definitely have that against him. That said this is America. We don't assassinate our leaders. We vote them out of office or vote people into office to obstruct his agenda. A prime example is the 2010 elections. America was tired of the far left polices of Obama, Pelosi and Reid. They were tired of being told their opinions don't matter like when Obamacare was passed with back room deals and parliamentary tricks against the will of the American people ( how is unemployment Blanche and more will come). We still need to remain civil even if we do not agree with the President over his own actions. Reports have came in that the Congressman initially laughed, which angered many and prompted calls for an apology.

Representative Paul Broun (R) was asked a rather alarming question at a town hall meeting recently by one of his constituents. The total context of the conversation is not known, but an older gentleman asked the Congressman Broun "Whose going to shoot Obama". Initially Congressman Broun did not condemn the comment. He answered quite honestly with what many people feel about the current situation in American politics. Broun stated "The thing is, I know there's a lot of frustration with this president. We're going to have an election next year. Hopefully we'll somebody that's going to be a conservative, limited-government president that will take a smaller, who will sign a bill to repeal Obamacare".

His staff mentioned that the question was "obviously inappropriate" and that the Congressman moved on to other questions. After the fact his office notified the appropriate authorities. Congressman Broun issued the following statement.

"Tuesday night at a town hall meeting in Oglethorpe County, Georgia an elderly man asked the abhorrent question, "Who's going to shoot Obama?" I was stunned by the question and chose not to dignify it with a response; therefore, at that moment I moved on to the next person with a question. After the event, my office took action with the appropriate authorities. I deeply regret that this incident happened at all. Furthermore, I condemn all statements-made in sincerity or jest-that threaten or suggest the use of violence against the President of the United States or any other public official. Such rhetoric cannot and will not be tolerated."

This upset many who both back and don't agree with the policies of Barack Hussein Obama. The typically groups like the NAACP are of course claiming that it's all about race and not the fact that his policies tick off lots of people.

I will say that I don't believe this was a threat against Obama, but I am sure he will get a visit from the Secret Service. They do have to investigate just about anything that seems like a threat. I will say that even as an outspoken critic of Barack Hussein Obama that I think it was in poor taste. I wonder if that was what the man was even attempting to ask. I am sure many people wonder if Obama will be assassinated. This is similar to asking if any leader is going to be whacked. We do have a leader who will not listen to the voice of the people. You can see what his inaction on illegal immigration, attempts at amnesty, dividing people along racial and class lines, and the gangster passage of Obamacare as a reason why many think he stands more of a chance than other modern presidents. I am sure the agents who protect Obama are even more concerned than normal. There are also still people who in this day are bigoted and believe that a Negro should not be President of the United States. This is absurd as anyone can be President is this nation of ours. In the case of Barack Hussein Obama, this is true even if the man is the least qualified we have ever had. I don't believe a socialist, anti-American such as Obama should be President, but in our country we have a choice to vote for who we want. We don't have to be intelligent or even understand the issues as I am sure a disproportionate amount of voters who made up the electorate who voted for Barack Hussein Obama compared to other Presidents.

We don't assassinate our leaders in this country. This is not Rome. We vote them out of office. Congressman Broun was correct in saying how ticked people are at the Obama administration and what was done when democrats had absolute power under the Obama, Pelosi, and Reid regime. Still talking about people being assassinated is wrong. Barack Obama has a family just like most of us. I am also sure that he honestly thinks what he is doing is right. Many Americans disagree as noted with the results of the 2010 elections. Obama and co have not gotten the message yet though especially over Obamacare that America does not, did not, and will not want it.

Regardless of if you like Obama or not, if he were to be assassinated it would probably be bedlam for the country. First of anyone with a knowledge of history should know that if he were assassinated that Negro race would riot. It would be similar to the riots after Dr. King was assassinated. I would not want to see our nation go down this path again. I honestly believe that a race war could e a very strong possibility and I don't want to see the country I love fall into civil war. Some of the policies have already caused enough unrest in this country. Let's try to have reasonable debate and leave the death threats out of it. I don't think that this was a death threat, but it is bordering extremely close to one.

Oh, good grief! Now all we need is for the crazy idiot who asked this question to turn out to be a Christian. That will be the last straw for the liberals.
