Also remember that what we see and read in the media is not necessarily the complete picture. It comes to us through filters to present what is wanted to be perceived! These town hall screamers are a minority of the population. Poll figures are to be taken with a grain of salt, even during elections, let alone where there is no election. Politicians really only pay true attention to polls during campaigns. The rest of the time, they vote on laws based on their knowledge or if they are dishonest, they vote based on lobbyist bribes. So in the end, health care will be reformed based on political power of the President vs insurance and pharmaceutical industry lobbyists. Our true power comes on election day, when we can vote for the best candidate, which is what we, thank goodness, did in the last Presidential election.
