Toxic thoughts are those thoughts that draw negativity and toxicity in your live. This toxicity can be manifested in mental disorders and even in physical ailments as Caroline Leaf says above.

We all know about how our thoughts make our own reality. The same situation can be seen as a problem or as an opportunity depending on the state of thoughts. There is a primal law in the universe that has been rephrased many time is many different ways but basically: what you think is what you get. If your thoughts are focused on good things you get good things. But if you focus on bad things that is what you will get in your life.

Toxic thoughts include rage, grudges, guilt, self-pity, and all negative thoughts you can think! Toxic thoughts ELIMINATE THEM from your life and you will have a great time on Earth.

But how do you do it? How do you eliminate them?

The first step is to recognize that you are actually in a "toxic thoughts state". It is unbelievable how long can we go on without knowing we are having toxic thoughts. I have been there and it could be days before you realize it! The only way to detect if you are toxic is to watch yourself and listen to your thoughs. Stop for a moment and listen to yourself. Are you complaining often because of little things? Do you feel sorry for yourself? Do you think frequently that you are out of luck? Those are toxic thoughts.

Once you have listened to your self and become aware of the toxicity of your thoughts you have to change your state of mind. You need to use mind control techniques to do that but basically you will need to try to focus on the positive aspects of your life. Mentally cancel those toxic thoughts and replace them with positive ones. I can't stress enough how important it is to do this for your own well-being (and maybe that of your family)

One thing you can do is to do a "shake-up" activity, one that is so different to what you usually do that it will drastically change your state of mind. I have done this!. A few weeks ago I was having toxic thoughts. What did I do? I took my family and went for a couple of days away about 200 miles from my city. That change of environment did change my state of mind from a toxic to a positive one. Once I went to watch a movie. It was a comedy. I laughed a lot (I had seen a movie for a couple of months). Maybe,you can call a high school friend and go for a coffee. These "shake-up" activities may do wonders on your state of mind.
