Toy Story Review

Allie Bojko
Toy Story is a wonderfully made movie that isn't just for children but for adults as well, it's a film you can just enjoy. Andy's room of the 1990s is full of toys ranging from the early '60s all the way through to the earlier '90s. However, if Andy was my son, he would have a desktop computer, a tv or even a Nintendo gaming system than more or less anything else.

Toy Story in brief is about all the toys in Andy's room (the owner of the toys) coming to real life whenever he's asleep or when he's not in the same room with the toys. When it slowly approaches Andy's birthday, every toy gets nervous as to where they might go or be. They are afraid that they'll be ignored when and if Andy gets a newer toy that'll make them that much more envious. Than there's Woody the cowboys who's their leader amongst all of the toys because he's the most popular of all the other toys. Woody doesn't fret all that much about Andy getting a new toy, until a new toy named Buzz Lightyear comes along and becomes Andy's new favorite toy. Woody despises him so much that he does anything in his will to get him out of the picture, but as the time progresses he learns to accept him

All of the character's voices only add to the enjoyment I found when watching the movie Toy Story. Tom Hanks is bigger than life in the way he portrayed Woody the cowboy doll. Woody is Andy's favorite toy and one he enjoys playing with the most, since he doesn't give any other toy the time or day. Tom Hank's does a great job at creating all of the emotions his character develops throughout the movie that I found myself constantly pulling through for him from the moment the movie first starts to the very end.

Tim Allen also does an unbelievable job as the new toy in his character Buzz Lightyear, he officially becomes the new toy that Andy loves and favors over his previous one Woody, he simply can't except the fact that he's just a plastic toy. It's his role in this movie that makes his character that much more interesting since he delivers his lines with a little panache. In this movie he's anything but boring which makes him a key addition to this movie considering so many things revolve around him.

When you're actually viewing the movie Toy Story you'll notice that the characters or animation aren't as flawless as opposed to today's animated movies like they were back than. Yet again this was done back in 1995 in which computers and technology just wasn't there like they are today, than it makes you realize just how well the creators did to make up for that. I completely loved the script, the voiceovers, the characters and the overall feel of the film they were just so over the top than and even now fifteen years later. The best way to describe this movie in terms of words it would be fun, mildly entertaining, adventurous and above all very fun. This movie is indeed a must watch movie, it gets two thumbs up by me for the movies shear genius. I truly appreciate the individuals that have taken time out of their day to read this review I am certainly thankful for that..
