Toyota Introduced Innova CNG

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has rolled out CNG version of Innova in India. The new technology will be seen on all petrol powered variants of the MUV.

It is powered by DOHC VVTi petrol engine will be fitted with an additional 123 kg CNG tank. This also allows the driver to shift from petrol and CNG mode with a manual switch

According to Managing Director of Toyota, 'Toyota is an environment conscious company dedicated to the cause of development and conserving nature in its numerous forms. The CNG is not only eco-friendly but also offer better fuel efficiency. The company is delighted to announce India's first ever energy efficient MPV in India. This is yet another step in our efforts to make the environment more inhabitable."

Minda Auto Gas Ltd will supply the CNG kits for the Innova that comes with an advanced Lambda control system to ensure engine's fulfillment with the Euro III norms. The CNG Innova will carry the price tag of Rs 85000 which is slightly expensive that the current petrol variant.
